Proenza Schouler with MAC

Hey everyone! This post is going to be about the ever nearing, new MAC collection with Proeza Schouler and all the beauuuutiful products in the collection.

Lazaro Hernadez and Jack McCollough are the designers behind Proenza Schouler. Of course they are used to working only seasons in advance, being fashion designers, but their new collab with MAC has proved exactly how long it takes to create makeup... years in fact.

The collection will launch on May 1st in Selfridges following the initial announcement last October. It has been a lengthy process but will definitely be worth the wait!

There's a beachiness to the whole collection, using the summery faded neon tones and colours. The pair said "There's a naturalness in terms of colour, but because it is make-up, we wanted to up the ante and do something a little bit different that what we do for the shows. But we didn't want it to be 'vixen' or vampy. It's cooler - there's a breeziess, a nonchalace."
The collection includes:
nail lacquers, lipsticks, eye and lip pencils and two incredible ombre pink blush palettes - in wearable but striking pink, nude and coral tones.

2014 summer wish list

So as it is nearing summer I have chosen 3 things that are on my summer wish list, obviously there are others but I'm only posting about 3 of them otherwise this post will get super long!

So my first thing is hair chalk...

So this hair chalk is from The Body Shop, there are only 2 colours and they come in pots and you just rub them in your hair and spray with hairspray to keep the colour in for longer.
Urban Outfitters also do hair chalks, they have an ombre set with loads of different pastel chalks, which may be better if you want more than one colour.
The next thing on my list is a skort...

This is Poppy Delevingne wearing a skort (skirt crossed with shorts). They can be worn for an everyday casual with trainers and a tshirt or could be 'smarterned' up and worn with heals and a nice top.
River Island actually have quite a lot of them in gorgeous summery patterns.

The last thing I've had my eye on recently is shorts and tops 'twin sets'...
Missguided have loooaads of them, they also have ones with skirts instead of shorts which are really pretty aswelI suppose they look a bit like a play suit but they would be cooler in hot weather (and a lot easier to go to the too!)

Thanks for reading! Please follow me on Bloglovin and Google+. If you have anything that you will be looking out for in summer please leave a comment, I would be really interested to see them!

rimmel london matte BB cream ~ review

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to be doing a review of the semi-new 'Rimmel London Matte BB Cream'.

This is the first BB cream I have tried, so I guess I cant compare it to others, however the only negative thing that I find about it is that all the shades are quite dark and make you look kind of orange. I suppose I'll wear it most often in the summer and my skin will have naturally got darker by then (hopefully).

So for a BB cream it actually has amazing coverage and as I have awful skin I need something with a good coverage but won't block my pores like heavy foundation. It says it is 'skin perfecting super makeup' and is 9-in-1 as it minimizes the appearance of pores; mattifies; controls shine all day; soothes and smooths skin; conceals dark circles; helps prevent blemishes. It is dermatologist tested, clinically tested and is non comedogenic (doesn't block pores.

I recommend this product for the spring/summer months as it perfect if you don't want to wear heavy foundation in the warm weather but want to cover up imperfections on your skin.

summer white-out

S/S14 is a white-out. This summer forget bold brights it's all about white.

White can make you look more tanned (who doesn't want that?) and is easy to spice up with neons or other bright colours.

Here are some of the top designers showing off they're crisp white spring/summer collections:

my everyday makeup

I thought I'd show you the makeup that I wear to school and at the weekend. So this is kind of a mini review of everything that I use.

Face
I use 'Olay essentials complete care moisturizer' first so that my makeup goes on easier. It's really good as it doesn't make your face really oily or anything like that. So next I use 'Seventeen 18 hour concealer in extra fair' to cover up blemishes or breakouts. It's probably the best concealer I've ever used, it gives you really good coverage and is super easy to blend. Finally, I use 'Rimmel London clear complexion powder' it's a transparent powder so you can keep applying it through the day and you won't look like a tangerine!

Eyes
On my eyes I use an 'AVON cosmic glimmerstick eyeliner in the shade Silver Eclipse' I draw quite a thick line then smudge it with my finger and it shows up all the little sparkles better. I loveeeee this. I honestly don't think I could live without it now! The last thing I use on my eyes is 'Rimmel London scandaleyes retro glam mascara' you've probably seen the shape of the applyer brush thing (whatever it's called) on the TV advert but if not it's a kind of hourglass shape. I love this mascara I buy it over and over again and it's a pretty good price as well.

Eyebrows
I really like big, thick, Cara style eyebrows but as my hair is quite a light blonde, so are my eyebrows. So I bought an eyebrow pencil which is 'Loréal Paris brow artist in the colour blonde' I am absolutely loving this so far. It's got 2 ends so one is the actual pencil and then the other is a fixing wax to stop them smudging or running in the rain (and you don't want running eyebrows). I think I might try either a darker shade or a kind of eyebrow mascara from Benefit, as I find the pencil isn't dark enough for me.
